A Community Land Trust (CLT) is a member-based nonprofit organization which acquires and manages land on behalf of the residents of a community based solely on community input.

The income generated from each respective area will yield resources to pay property taxes and operating cost of the small businesses conducting the work.

Gullah-Geechee Life Everlasting Herb Improves. SIG CID will, too!
The Sapelo Island, Georgia (SIG) Community Improvement District (CID) is designed to create a more walkable and livable rural environment. We meet the challenges of sustainable growth by investing tax dollars collected from commercial property owners within the district, as well as other funds we leverage from outside the district, to make meaningful improvements in the transportation network and public realm that connect people and places. The SIG CID seeks to provide opportunities for small business owners.
SIG Small Business Incubator
Small Business Incubators are programs designed to support the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services, developed and orchestrated by incubator management and offered both in the incubator and through its network of contacts. Incubator small businesses will directly feed into the Community Improvement District.
